Spellmate is in beta. This document describes the service as it works today, and will change with it.
The cookies we set
Three, all strictly necessary: a session cookie, which keeps you signed in; a refresh cookie, which avoids asking for your password over and over and lets you revoke a specific device; and an anti-forgery token, which prevents another site from acting on your behalf.
Why there is no banner
A consent banner is required for cookies that are not necessary to run the service — analytics, advertising, cross-site tracking. We set none. Refusing the three cookies above would amount to not being able to sign in.
