Spellmate is in beta. This document describes the service as it works today, and will change with it.
Purpose
Spellmate is a free online game combining chess and collectible cards. Creating an account means accepting this document.
Your account
One account per person. You are responsible for your password and for what happens from your account. Account sharing and using automated programs to play on your behalf are prohibited.
⚠️ The service is in beta: your account may be reset
For the whole duration of the beta, accounts, games, decks and progression may be DELETED, without notice and without any possibility of restoration. This is not a theoretical possibility: it is expected. The game evolves, the database is rebuilt, and card balance is not settled. Do not invest time or attachment in progression you would not want to lose.
Conduct
Harassment, hate speech, cheating and systematically abandoning games may lead to a temporary or permanent suspension. Reports are handled by the moderation team from within the game.
Availability
The service is provided as is, with no availability guarantee. It may be interrupted at any time for maintenance, updates, or any other reason.
Virtual Currency
Any virtual currency acquired on Spellmate (gems, credits, or equivalent) is non-refundable upon account deletion or service termination. Unspent virtual currency balances are permanently forfeited upon account closure, with no right to compensation or reimbursement in currency or in kind.
Changes to this document
These terms will change as the game leaves beta — in particular the account reset clause, which is meant to disappear. The last update date appears at the top of the page.
